Ski / Snowboard Clubs

The Riderz Program is focused on skill development for riders of all ages and abilities.

Our programs encompass needs of the beginner, trying the sport for the first time, those wanting to improve their skills and work on freestyle tricks, and the ultra competitive wanting to compete in speed and style competitions.

Participants will work with their coach and teammates to improve their riding and learn intermediate to expert level freestyle skills. The programs run on weekends with session times and dates dependent on program participation.

Gromz

Snowboarding instruction for athletes from the beginner to developing snowboarder, the focus is on overall riding ability with guidance in basic movement, balance, edge control, turning, and an introduction to the terrain park. Whether snowboarding for the first time or just wanting to get better, Gromz has something to offer all first timers and novice/ intermediate snowboarders. The Gromz program is a 10 week program (weather permitting) with curriculum developed from the Canada Snowboard Riders concept and with input from Canada Snowboard, Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors, and our Sask Snowboard technical development team.

Times: 10am – 12pm & 1pm – 3pm

Riderz

Snowboarding instruction for athletes who have succeeded in the Riderz “Groms” program and have been recommended to move on, or if new to the program and meet a coach assessed standard. The skills needed for this program are: ability to be able to control speed and direction on most terrain, be able to change edges without difficulty, have control on both toe and heel edges, be able to ride on their snowboard on a flat base, and be comfortable on their snowboard with a dynamic range of motion.  Previous freestyle skills and ability are not necessary.  This is an intermediate to advanced freestyle program for snowboarders looking to progress in groups of similar ability athletes. Snowboarders will continue to work on overall riding skills and competency as well as individual specialization in jumps, rails, switch riding, as well as incorporating skills needed for speed events. 


Qu’Appelle Valley Ski Club

The Qu’Appelle Valley Ski Club (QVSC) is a family oriented ski club located in Fort Qu’Appelle, Saskatchewan. 

QVSC offers downhill skiing programs for kids ages 5-18. We operate out of Mission Ridge Winter Park. 

​A great Saskatchewan ski club that promotes the love of the sport. 


Regina Alpine Race Team

Do your kids love to ski and want to take those ski skills to the next level?

Then the Regina Alpine Race Team is the place for them.

RART offers programming for kids ages 5 to 18 with our passionate, Alpine Canada-accredited coaches working on technique and ski-racing skills while instilling a life-long love of the sport in our athletes.

Our Nancy Greene program runs Sundays at Mission Ridge and is open to kids from ages 5-13.

In addition to weekly training, Nancy Greene athletes participate in three, fun-filled ski racing festivals each year.

The race program is open to athletes from ages 10-18.

Athletes on the race team can choose from a two-day or three-day training program which runs Thursday and Friday evenings and each Sunday.

Athletes training in the race program attend four SaskCup races each season and have many opportunities to compete and train at mountain events.
